The Costa Rica Piano Festival is open for advanced piano students of all ages and nationalities. Participants will have the opportunity to take academic courses, private lessons and master classes with highly renowned artists as well as perform in major concert halls. In addition, the festival will offer the unique experience of exploring the natural wonders of Costa Rica.

Selected students will have the unique opportunity to perform a movement of a classical concerto with the Costa Rica Piano Festival Symphony Orchestra. A separate application is required.

Sergey Kuznetsov is a Professor of Piano at Lone Star College. He had won many prestigious international piano competitions. Sergey had performed numerous concerts around the world and organized chamber music ensembles in France, Israel, China, Russia and Canada. He is also an active educator. Besides teaching at Long Star College, he performs with master classes, recitals and lectures in colleges, universities and schools around the world.

Dear friends! If you are in Houston,TX I am very delighted to invite you to come to Yury Martynov's Recital at Lone Star College-Montgomery on February 23rd, 4PM in the Music Building Recital Hall. Yury Martynov is a Professor of Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, co-founder of the Early Music Department, 1st prize winner of Mozart International Competition in Salzburg, Maria Canals in Barcelona, Epinal in France. He is an expert in non- standard advanced piano repertoire and will present Beethoven's Symphony No.3 "Eroica" transcribed for piano by Ferenz Liszt in addition to Prokofiev's 5th Sonata and Schumann's "Carnival of Vienna". A true international group, The Emerald Trio brings together musical traditions from Russia, Lithuania, and Québec. Each of the three musicians are well established in their own countries and have played all over the world as solo and chamber music performers.

The idea for the trio was born in the summer of 2011, at the Music in the Mountains Festival in Durango, Colorado, after a string quartet performance that brought together Aleksandr Snytkin and Marie-Thaïs Levesque Oliver, musicians of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. Sergey Kuznetsov joins the trio for the new concert season, he is a Piano Faculty at Lone Star College - Montgomery Music Department.
